Corruption is mindset

Bhakta: Prabhu see what has happened?

Bhagwan: I know, they have demonetized. Why are you worried, do you use them too?

Bhakta: No No Prabhu, I do not use currency notes but I am wondering what is going on. Some people are saying it is good and some saying people are suffering because of this.

Bhagwan: That is why both intention and method are important. Intention to act against corruption is good but it could have been done in a way so that common honest people were not subjected to any hardship. Why should any honest person loses job, business and even life? Action against wrong must not hurt those who are on right path. It is true that action against corruption is crucial as corruption has eaten the foundation of nation. But they must ensure that innocent do not suffer.

Bhakta: Will it help in ending corruption Prabhu?

Bhagwan: It alone won't. This is one step but if it is done correctly along with other steps then it may help. There must be complete transparency about income and transactions. Infact steps must start from basic core. To make real impact on reducing corruption they must first create and strengthen core system of institutions. They must have free and independent investigative agencies and fast track courts. This should be the first step. Without this no other step will have significant and lasting impact. Without free and fair thorough investigation and justice corruption can not end. Merely laying down laws will not help if there is no effective investigation and justice. Bulk of corruption is done by those who have might of money and know how to stay safe from being caught and punishment. Corruption will end only if people with bulk corruption are caught and punished.

Bhakta: So many people got caught....

Bhagwan: That is good, some are caught others may take lesson. But some may bypass also. If you look deep into it, corruption is a mindset. People need to change mindset. Government can use fear to control but again most people with bulk corruption will escape so there will not be significant change. People tend to fall back to same pattern after few days. Therefore, to bring about significant and lasting change, it is necessary to bring about change in mindset of people. Action fades after some time and laws are nothing without effective implementation. People must have faith in system.  This faith will come only if institutions are robust, independent and effective. This includes every part of nation from government, bureaucracy, investigative agencies, judiciary, police, media and others. See why this is crucial. Some are too strong by money power so they escape. When common people see unfairness, bias and no justice done in case of big shots, they too lose sense of justice. They too feel right in indulging corrupt activities. It is necessary for top order to display fairness and justice to have spirit of justice prevail. First step is first. Free and independent investigative agencies and fast track courts.

Bhakta : Why this corruption go on and on Prabhu?

Bhagwan: I told you it is the mindset of greed. Strange is everyone is asking others to improve. All trying to teach others. All finding faults in others, happy in exposing others. No one is ready to learn. No one is using brain. Honesty is self discipline. It is not a subject of preaching. If I don't change, no one will. But to realize this they must use brain. Nation is as good or bad as I am.

Bhakta: Using brain Prabhu.......... Naaraayan !!!  Naaraayan !!!

Regressive nation

Bhakta: Prabhu this is so unfortunate !

Bhagwan: What is unfortunate?

Bhakta: There are some nations which instead of making better conditions for own people, they are supporting trouble and hurting other nations.

Bhagwan: Yes, you are right. They have their place and they can work hard to become a prosperous and happy nation but they don't.

Bhakta: But why Prabhu? Why they do such things?

Bhagwan: Human nature is strange. Some people think more about damaging others. But due to their wrong intentions, greed and hatred they use all their energy in destruction. They create and support terrorism. They think that by killing innocent people they can achieve what they want. But they fail to see that this is actually self destructive for them.

Bhakta: This is so sad Prabhu !

Bhagwan: Indeed. Such nations big or small, doing such things directly or indirectly will suffer. As you sow, so you reap. These are not just words but truth. These nations are going against the spirit of humanity. They feel they have power but they don't realize that they are playing with fire. And this fire will destroy them.

Bhakta: How Prabhu?

Bhagwan: In many ways. Slowly and steadily you will see wrong and bad elements becoming powerful in such nations. These people do not have welfare in mind. These are greedy and power hungry people. They will use power to stay there and will crush right minded people. In due course such nations become rogue nations. They are threat to humanity but more threat to their own existence and growth. History is full of such examples. Their own people will get frustrated and question their ways. There will be rebel and revolt. Ultimately such nations fall.

Bhakta: Can this be avoided Prabhu?

Bhagwan: Yes why not. That is what humans must learn from history. Stay on path of humanity. Do not think or act to hurt or harm other. Make efforts in own welfare and growth. They have enough to live happily. This must be remembered. This world will survive. Right minded people will survive. But such rogue nations will face disaster due to own deeds. People in such nations must stand up and raise voice against terrorism and anti humanity activities. Their silence is more damaging to their own nation. They must use brain to keep away from greed and hatred.
